The LUMC Open Science and Recognition & Rewards programmes are part of the university-wide programme Academia in Motion (AiM).

AiM aims for a culture change within Leiden University towards becoming an open knowledge community, closely connected to society, that recognizes and rewards everyone’s contribution to our strategic goals. AiM is part of the Future@work program.

Open Science is about research, education, and patient care.

Open Educational Resources (OER) are learning materials that you can reuse, adapt, and distribute for free with few or no restrictions.

Within the project Recognition & Rewards of Open Science we designed an OER flyer to explain the what, why and how of OER.

OER makes knowledge accessible to everyone (online), it reduces costs for universities, UMCs, and students, and OER products can be recognized and rewarded as publications.

The flyer guides the way to start creating and using OER.

We highly recommend giving open educational resources a try in your teaching!
