On Thursday September 5th, the LUMC Centrum voor Ouderengeneeskunde (LCO) and the LUMC Theme Lifecourse Epidemiology and Geroscience (LEGend) will open the New Academic Year 2024-2025. It will be a celebration of academic inspiration and getting together. We warmly invite you to celebrate the start of the new year together with us.

16.00 hrs: Opening and lecture by Prof. Rudi Westendorp: “Learnings when growing older”

Prof. Westendorp was founder of the Department of Gerontology and Geriatrics of the LUMC and chair of the department until 2011. He continued his career at the Leyden Academy on Vitality and Aging and later in Copenhagen. He has returned to the Netherlands two years ago and works for Reable Nederland.
