Registration is now open for the DuSRA Annual Meeting 2025, which will take place on 10–11 November 2025 at Amsterdam UMC (O|2 auditorium). This year’s preliminary program covers a broad spectrum of ageing research in the Netherlands: Basic biology of ageing: metabolism, molecular and phenotypic clocks, longevity genes, and damage factors (e.g., senescence, DNA or mitochondrial damage) Translational and clinical perspectives: biomarkers, lifestyle factors, and interventions The program will also feature: Inspiring keynote lectures from Prof. Bjorn Schumacher and Jolanda van der Velden, selected talks from young investigators and poster sessions Ample opportunities to network among young investigators thanks to [...]
As a result of the LUMC Research Review in the fall of 2024, Theme LEGend will be restructured. Two new sub-themes will emerge: ‘early life’ and ‘late life’. The first strategic meeting of the subtheme ‘late life’ will occur on November 12th 2025. The goal of the meeting is to connect as many researchers from the LUMC working on aging or older people or patients as possible. Collectively, we will draft a strategic plan for the coming years on how to connect researchers, initiate collective projects, position our research inside and outside of the LUMC, and attract and foster talent [...]
